Saturday Soccer takes place on the Astro Pitch at St Edmund’s School Canterbury, St Thomas Hill, Canterbury, CT2 8HU.
If you’ve got a child in Reception, Year 1 or 2 and they’re showing an interest in playing football then you’ve come to the right place!
Our ever-popular Saturday Soccer is the first stage on your child’s Canterbury Eagles journey and provides a pathway to Under 7 (Year 2) organised football playing in the Faverhsam & District Youth Football League or the East Kent Youth Football League.
Running every Saturday (unless of very bad weather), supervised by FA/UEFA qualified coaches, the sessions provide children with a fun experience to learn about football through play. They’ll be supported in developing skills; learning to respect and encourage others; ball control and decision-making in game play scenarios.
The overriding aim of Saturday Soccer is that kids develop a love for the game! Children are supported to be safe and healthy both physically and mentally. We celebrate player development and promote emotional wellbeing through praise and encouragement within a team setting.
If parents/guardians are interested in supporting in a coaching capacity or run a youth team then the Club will pay for a DBS Check and football coaching qualifications, as well as supply a coaching kit & equipment. Additional training and support by experienced and qualified coaches is also provided.
